Earlier today we stopped by the Samsung booth and saw a demonstration of their SMART school solution. This is a way for teachers to teach on the eboard and for students to participate using a galaxy tab, opening the doors for a more interactive learning environment. The eboard is able to broadcast lessons, file share and control students galaxy tabs from the front of the class. The teacher is also able to upload or download content for tests and assignments, giving lessons more interactive components.
The student’s learning is enhanced by tab features such as: writing through digital pen, study mate(find more info) and access to global educational resources. The Samsung booth was understandably a popular spot at the convention so we were unable to flag someone down to learn about the future plans for the eboard. In the Thames Valley school board (London, ON and surrounding area) SMART boards were implemented into every classroom two years ago. We are curious if this is one of Samsung’s goals, to supply a board and tablets for every classroom?
