Overview: Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet

There is a general opinion of what a good tablet should be in regards to hardware and software specifications. The Nook Tablet is no evasion to these opinions and thoughts. When we first got our hands on the Nook Tablet our first impressions were impressed to be quite frank. The form factor fits the hand nicely and the weight is such that it can be used with one hand for a considerable time. We are impressed with the snappy response we get from the device no matter what we happen to be doing on the device. As far as applications go it is lacking when compared to other tablets but we actually found most of the applications we would require to be successful on a business trip including WordPress, TuneIn amongst other apps. We are working on a development tutorial that will utilize the Nook Tablet to hook into SkyDrive and explore our files and allow downloads onto our devices. Stay tuned for more information on this.

We also want to bring to our readers attention the amazing products that OtterBox has available for the Nook Tablet/Color. We are big fans of the product as all of our devices are equipped with an OtterBox case. We have been known to be more then stressful on our development devices. This commuter series case keeps everything protected while allowing you access to all vital areas of the device except for the Micro SD card slot. We found this to be a non-issue as we threw in a 32GB card and forgot about it. With the commuter series case applied to the Nook Tablet we would feel comfortable dropping or tossing this devices against a wall and incurring no damage if we did not have a series to develop for. We won’t keep you from the true specifications provided by Barnes and Noble themselves and the Gallery images we are quite proud of. Until the next overview, Happy Hacking!
